Flores, in dialogue with Prensa Latina, said that the United States has placed Cuba on that list without any historical or political basis and has done so simply because it wants to destroy the Cuban revolution and its advances.

He raised the need for a movement of countries, especially Latin American ones, that ask the United States “to remove the sister Republic of Cuba” from the aforementioned list.

“There is no precedent in history of a terrorist act by Cuba or its participation in an action of that type,” he asserted.

On the contrary, added Flores, the Caribbean country, “historically, since the beginning of the Cuban revolution, in 1959, has maintained an attitude in line with its ideological principles of internationalist solidarity.”

Reiterating that Cuba has nothing to do with terrorism, he pointed out that that country “is a victim of terrorism from other supremacist countries, of terrorist actions mainly from the United States.”

He pointed out that Washington has never accepted full independence, the sovereignty that the revolution led by Fidel Castro gave to Cuba and that it has made great advances that are undeniable and that are recognized by international health and education organizations.

“The revolution brought great advances, despite the fact that Cuba suffers from a criminal blockade by the United States and is a victim of international economic, political and media terrorism,” he recalled.

Among the terrorist acts of North American influence, he mentioned the failed mercenary invasion of Playa Girón in April 1961, defeated in less than 72 hours.

“We raise our voices from Peru so that the criminal and inhuman blockade that does not allow Cuba to develop is lifted once and for all, and that it be removed from the list of sponsors of terrorism, for being a country that has led the world to its medical brigades, which has received international recognition,” Flores said.
