A 22-year-old girl and her 9-year-old sister were murdered by a man who is now intensely searched by the Corrientes Police. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in a small town called Parada Acuña, about 30 kilometers from Curuzú Cuatiá.

The investigation began around 6:30 p.m., just a few minutes after rural laborer Miguel Andrés Zárate (24) returned from the ranch where he works. As soon as he got out of his boss’s truck, he saw that a friend whom he had given accommodation while looking for work in the area, ran out of the house.

Zárate did not take long to discover the bodies. His partner, Isondú Marisel Fernández (22) He had several cut wounds on his arms that would have been made with a machete, and two puncture wounds in his chest. The young woman’s sister, Aitana (9)was lying on a bed and the preliminary report from the police doctor indicates that she may have been strangled with the belt of her overalls.

From the study of the crime scene carried out by the deputy prosecutor Federico Rodríguez together with the Scientific Police, it was established that Aitana was the first to be attackedsince it did not have blood stains like the bed where his body was found.

The Minister of Security of Corrientes, Buenaventura Duarte, said that the main suspect was a friend of the couple and that they had sheltered him some time before, when he arrived from Curuzú Cuatiá. The official explained that the youngest of the sisters had been sexually harassed by the murdererwhich is why he had gone to his older sister.

That is why it is not ruled out that the minor’s crime occurred during an attempted sexual attack. And that Isondú was murdered when she found the now fugitive strangling the girl.

Double crime scene. The sisters lived in this house, in Parada Acuña, about 30 kilometers from Curuzú Cuatiá, in Corrientes.

The main suspect in the double crime is Antonio Villalba (41), who still could not be located by the Police. The dogs followed his trail to provincial route 25, where he would have been picked up by a circumstantial motorist, which allowed him to quickly leave the Parada Acuña area.

In a preliminary report, prosecutor Rodríguez pointed out that so far any connection between Zárate and the double crime has been ruled out. The police doctor established that The murders occurred around 4:00 p.m. and the laborer arrived at the scene around 6:30 p.m.which was corroborated by his employer, who took him to the vicinity of the house with his truck.

In an area of ​​vegetation near the house, the Police found a piece of cable and a diverelements with which the murderer would have tried to take his life.

Three cell phones, a machete and a knife were seized at the crime scene. Additionally, under Aitana’s bed there were a pair of sneakers with blood stains.
