During a visit to the students of the rural headquarters, the purpose of this initiative for all of Boyacá was announced.

Tunja, June 8, 2024. (UACP). The Secretary of Education of Boyacá, Eddye Yarik Reyes Grisales, held a recreational-pedagogical day at the Agricultural Educational Institution (ITA) of Paipa with the purpose of publicizing the different strategies that the Environmental Care Schools have in the administration of the Boyacá Grande.

The activity was accompanied by the rector, the coordinator, teachers, administrators and students of the educational establishment.

According to the Secretary of Education of Boyacá, this school is a departmental example in terms of caring for the environment.

“Its educational community is very committed to conservation and preservation in general, therefore, this day was organized to publicize the main aspects that will be carried out in this four-year period through the Environmental Care Schools strategy,” highlighted Reyes.

According to the official, these schools are immersed in the 2024-2027 Development Plan of the administration of Governor Carlos Amaya, and it specifically refers to the work carried out by educational institutions on topics such as school gardens, water care, environmental murals, environmental projects. schoolchildren (PRAE) and environmental managers, among others.

To disseminate the topic, the secretary and his communication and quality teams organized a visit to the Alto Plateado headquarters, in the Pastoreros village, where the students showed their ownership of the activities they carry out in their school garden and their passion for their work in the production of it.

For its part, at the ITA main headquarters, a mural was created in which the students captured the way the environment is in their surroundings and the threats it faces due to different factors.
