With the support of the neighborhood association, Mrs. Ana Celia Coñuecar, explained to Mayor Julio Uribe the situation of her old home, which was in terrible condition and was finally declared uninhabitable, thus beginning the procedures to obtain a new home. emergency.

Aysén.- The community chief instructed the Community Development Directorate through its assistance unit to address the situation of this older adult. It is in this way that, thanks to the tripartite agreement in force between the Regional Government of Aysén, Conaf and the Illustrious Municipality of Aysén, emergency housing could be designated.
The Dideco team began to work on preparing the land, assembling the house, electrical installation and leaving the property in conditions so that it can be occupied by Mrs. Ana Celia, who today already lives in her warm and cozy new home.
“I thank the Mayor for helping us have a decent house, because the one I had was falling down, it was more than fifty years old, the floor was deteriorated, water was getting in everywhere. For this reason, I thank the Mayor, because after the first meetings of the neighborhood associations we spoke with him, Mrs. Gladys Marín, also helped with the procedures, just like Mrs. Cristina, my neighbor, everyone helped.”
Mrs. Ana Celia also had important collaboration to leave her house in good condition, from Cristopher Montalva, pastor of the church where she usually attends.
The older adult who benefited from emergency housing is very happy in her new home, she assured that her condition has changed significantly. “I’m happy, because I’m already warm in my house. I spin raw wool, that’s what I do, because if I leave myself doing nothing, I’ll lose strength in my hands, that’s what the doctor takes care of me most.”
Finally, Ana Celia Coñuecar reiterated her gratitude to the authority, to all the organizations, departments and people who made possible a considerable improvement in her quality of life.
