Based on witness accounts and videos from security cameras, authorities are trying to identify the criminals who took the life of William Alberto Urrutia Ramos, who worked at the Escuela Normal Superior of the municipality of Pitalito, Huila.
The professor was murdered by two men who suddenly intercepted him on Circunvalar Avenue, when he was crossing the bridge over the Guarapas River on his motorcycle.
“He was hit in the back,” the authorities said.
Badly injured, Urrutia Ramos was helped by citizens who immediately took him to the San Antonio Hospital, but, unfortunately, he died due to the severity of his injuries.
At the moment, the Police are working on this investigation, but the truth is that there are no clear clues about the perpetrators of the homicide since they fled without leaving any further traces.
The mayor of Pitalito, Yider Luna, offered a reward of 30 million pesos for clear information that allows those responsible to be identified and captured.
“Criminals took his life,” said the president, who extended his condolences to the teachers, administrators and students of the Normal Superior.
The students have also marched through the streets of the municipality to demand clarification of the case and, at the same time, improve security conditions in Pitalito, which this year has recorded 28 homicides.
