The Agmer Central Board of Directors recently established the call for a new teaching strike and to join the protest activities announced by the confederations and union centers that will demonstrate against the Bases Law, which is currently being discussed in Congress.
What day will the Agmer teaching strike be?
According to what was reported by the main teachers union of the province, The force measure will be carried out this Wednesday and for a period of 24 hours, with which there will be no classes that day. That day, in the Senate of the Nation, the mega rule sent by the Executive Branch will be discussed and there will be demonstrations in the vicinity of Congress.
“It is part of a national day of struggle, with a call from the labor confederations. In addition, the Agmer congress resolved to adhere to possible measures against this initiative”he indicated to the Nine, María José López Ortiz, Press Secretary of Agmer Paraná. And she added: “We are against the Bases Law because of what it means in the adjustment and reduction of rights for workers. There are aspects linked to education, but there is a fundamental debate that affects achievements of decades that today are at risk and mean a setback“.
In addition to rejecting the Bases Law, Agmer will request the restitution of the Fonid and will speak out against the increase in employer contributions to active workers in the province, one of the measures implemented by the provincial government to “save” the Retirement Fund.
