An event that was a scare for a family from the popular and classic Barrio La Cuarta, in the city of Coronda, San Jerónimo department, generated an investigation by the local police.
Deep concern was caused, first in the mother and then in the police, by the discovery in an internal patio of a house located near España and Derqui, of a firearm, which was found by a very young girl, who is between 5 and 7 years old.
The Radioelectric Command police were summoned this Monday to a home on España Street, where a woman of about 30 years old told the security forces of the Alfa third that her daughter was playing in the inner courtyard of her house, when inside a small drawer of wood found a firearm and, fortunately, despite his young age, he called his mother and gave it to her.
Once the officers arrived, the woman in turn gave them the gun, a 9mm caliber that had a magazine, which was removed, luckily and this must be emphasized, it had no ammunition, but the actors also put it in a safe position, placed it in a transparent wrapper, wearing latex gloves, and they took it to the Headquarters headquarters for examination.
There are some indications of its possible origin, but the fact remains under investigation taking into account the risks that this may imply, especially for a minor or any person who, without knowing how to handle it, finds a weapon in their home or in some accessible place.
