The Active Culture Agency of the Municipality invites the community to a masterful talk about the hero Martín Miguel de Güemes that will take place on Saturday, June 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the courtyard of the City Museum at Peatonal Florida 97.
The dissertation will be given by professor and researcher Miguel Ángel Cáseres and is titled “The Contemporary Heirs of the National Paradigm.” Entrance is free and open.
Through an oral presentation, he will address different topics around the figure of the gaucho hero, such as the personality, career and role of the Guémesian feat in the context of the Sanmartiniano Plan.
According to Cáseres: “The title is based on the fact that General Güemes is the paradigm of Nationality and is a hero of Americanity and the heirs are us, the people of Salta.”
“On this occasion we also want to pay tribute to 56 local residents who live in Buenos Aires and who come to participate in the parade in Tribute to General Güemes. “They are heirs and they are the ones who carry the Guémesian torch in so many places in the country.”
