This Sunday, June 16, Huila will experience the first Tourist Caravan “For a Huila Grande” arriving at the beautiful municipality of Gigante. This initiative, led by the departmental government under the direction of Governor Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera, and executed by the Secretariat of Economic Development and Tourism in collaboration with various local actors, aims to unite the different cardinal points of the department in an unforgettable experience.

The tourist caravan will offer three exciting routes for tourists, with departure points from Neiva, La Plata and Pitalito, participants will have the opportunity to choose the route that excites them most and immerse themselves in a unique experience.
The departure points will be Neiva, La Plata and Pitalito, all arriving in Gigante at 9:00 in the morning to the main park. During the day, visitors will enjoy tours of the most emblematic places in Gigante and the Magic Coffee Route, with the opportunity to explore its beautiful muralism and then depart for the destinations selected by each traveler.
The Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism, Ricardo Vera Torres, made the Invitation and gave details of what this event will be, “this is a strategy of the departmental government headed by Governor Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera and that we are executing from the Secretariat of Economic Development and Tourism with the different actors that are linked to the secretariat, this initiative seeks to strengthen tourism in our department, starting from the different established cardinal points and arriving at a single specific point. We will go in buses and vehicles accompanying this route, on this occasion the municipality of Gigante is the place of arrival, where we will all meet.”
Event details
The first caravan will begin this Sunday, June 16, with the following departure points:
– Neiva: From the José Eustasio Rivera Convention Center, on race 4 leaving at 6:00 am
-La Plata: From the Main Park leaving at 8:00 am
-Pitalito: Leaving from the Main Park at 7:00 am
Meeting point: Parque Principal de Gigante, Huila 9:00 am

3. World of Giants
Cost and services included:
– The cost of participation is $105,000 per person.
– Includes breakfast, lunch, entrance to tourist attractions and insurance.
This is the first caravan, which begins in the municipality of Gigante, but the plan is to continue with this initiative touring the entire department. The next destination will be the south of our department, boosting the economy and promoting tourism in Huila, because Huila is a Paradise to be discovered.
