Unter says that Weretilneck acts like Milei and that “the answer is 98% compliance” with the strike

The Unter ratified this morning the fight plan defined by the Plenary of General Secretaries and affirmed that the 98% compliance with the strike is the response to the pressure from the provincial government, which announced discounts and sanctions for the union due to the force measure.

“The only thing this will achieve is that we deepen the fighting plan in Congress next Tuesday the 25th in Regina,” warned the general secretary of the Rio Negro teaching union, Silvana Inostroza.

The leadership of the union, with the support of leaders of other organizations that make up the two CTAs in the province, held a press conference on the corner of Avenida Roca and Tucumán, in Roca.

From there they compared the provincial management with the national government, highlighting the change in speech on the part of the governor, Alberto Weretilneck, who this Friday was rigid in the face of the teacher strike.

“We regret that this is the decision of a government that had another discourse towards the national government, when he said that “they are going to see us kneeling” and that everything had to be through dialogue and consensus. Today he applies the same policy with the workers of his province, trying to see ourselves on our knees, not seeking consensus and that is something we are not willing to allow,” said Inostroza.

The general secretary assured that there was unfair conduct by the Ministry of Education, that “an hour and a half before sending the formal notice to Unter to suspend the strike, it was already disseminating the notice through the regional school councils.”

“The response to this pressure is the 98 percent compliance that we have in schools today”replied the owner of Unter.

The union insisted on attributing all responsibility for the current scenario to the Executive, since “we were without salary proposals throughout January and February” and now it continues to bet on the conflict.

“The government has to read the request, which is about a salary restructuring. “There has been no increase for a long time. They are recompositions running after inflation.”Inostroza emphasized.

Given this, he stressed that “We workers have a limit” and confirmed that if there is no joint meeting for next Tuesday “we will stop again on the 19th”, as approved by the Plenary of General Secretaries.
