First public image of Kate Middleton since she was diagnosed with cancer. The Princess of Wales has been seen arriving at Buckingham Palace for the celebration of Trooping the Colour, also known as the Banner Parade, which has marked the official birthday of British monarchs for more than 260 years.

After more than five months removed from her official schedule as a result of cancer, Kate published a statement this Friday in which she stated that she is making “good progress” with her illness and that she will attend the King’s Birthday parade this weekend. . «I really want to attend. And I hope to join in on some public engagements over the summer, but I also know I’m not out of the woods yet,” the Princess of Wales confessed.

In a covered carriage

A few minutes before the event began, the Princess of Wales made her first public appearance. Kate, traveling in a carriage with her three children during the traditional procession through London, was photographed arriving at Buckingham Palace shortly after 10am. For this special occasion, Kate Middleton has chosen a black and white look.

Inside Buckingham Palace, the Princes of Wales and their children changed their means of transport and got into the iconic carriages which, due to the rain in London, have not allowed them to be uncovered, thus preventing the images of the Princess from Wales could have been taken without the protective glasses.

Perched on the balcony of Buckingham Palace

The traditional Trooping the Color parade this year features the participation of 250 musicians, 20 pipers, 240 military horses and almost 1,000 soldiers from the House Division of the British Army. On this occasion, and due to King Charles III’s cancer treatment, the monarch will participate in the parade in a float, instead of on horseback as usual.

The ceremony begins at the palace and travels to Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall, near Downing Street, then returning the same way. At 2pm, Kate will join King Charles and Queen Camilla, and other royals on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the RAF Air Parade.
