The archbishop of Córdoba, Cardinal Ángel Rossi, summoned the political leadership of the province to a new dialogue meeting, which took place this Saturday at the Gabriel Taborín school, in the Mediterranean capital.

It consisted of a meeting between leaders from the entire local political spectrum, which already had its first experience last year in the middle of the electoral campaign.

In a statement released this Saturday afternoon, the Archdiocese of Córdoba reported that the initiative included “more than 80 leaders, references and authorities in the political field, from different parties with presence, representation and service in the territory.”

The meeting, in continuity with the one held last year at the beginning of the electoral campaigns, lasted for almost two hours at noon this Saturday.

It began in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere, with a breakfast shared by all those present, which preceded the intervention of Cardinal Rossi and his exhortation based on the encyclical Fratelli Tutti (“We are all brothers”) of Pope Francis.

With constant quotes from that document, the Archbishop said: “We need the best policy put at the service of the true common good; It is necessary and urgent to put the person, the specific people, at the center of politics and policies. “It should not be ideologies, nor particular interests, nor the market, nor anything like that that should be the first thing that politics should contemplate: the good of the people comes first.”
