“Sudden flooding of the Cesar River is recorded in the middle basin, near Valledupar. “We recommend that the community avoid being near the river, take pot walks and have the numbers of the relief agencies on hand and contact them in case of emergency.”reported the Government of Cesar in its X account.
In the last hours, in the department of Cesar, heavy rains that caused flooding, falling trees, unroofed houses and damage to infrastructure. Among the affected areas are the towns of Guacoche and Guacochito, north of Valledupar, and some neighborhoods in the municipality of San Diego.
