Divisadero Largo Natural Reserve, in the City of Mendoza
Preserve geological formations and outcrops and the fossiliferous reserve formed during a period of more than 200 million yearswhich due to its values is of great importance for research and education.
- Location: Provincial Route 99 8 km from the City of Mendoza (Papagayos Circuit). There is no public passenger transport to the place.
- Activities: Divisadero Largo is a protected area very close to the city of Mendoza that offers visitors a wide range of hiking alternatives. From a walk accessible to the whole family – in the manner of an environmental walk – to a circuit of trekking long with a certain degree of difficulty.
Along the trails arranged for the public, you can see different rocky outcrops that lead us to discover the mysteries of the depths of the Earth, as well as discover and enjoy the typical landscape of the Mendoza foothills.
This reserve also serves as an “environmental classroom” for the hundreds of school visitors who come to it daily to learn about its attractions, but also as an introduction to knowledge of the Network of Protected Areas of Mendoza and their respective environments.

Historic Apple Tree, Tunuyán
- Location: 120 km from the city of Mendoza, in the Los Arboles, Los Chacayes, Campo Los Andes de Tunuyán district. There is public transportation from Tunuyán on weekends.
- Activities: There are proposals of great historical value, such as the visit to the Monument of the Return of General San Martín, the Retoño del Historic Apple Tree and the Sanmartiniana Exhibition. The Archaeological Museum has key pieces to understand the origin of the first inhabitants of the place, their customs and practices typical of their culture.

Reserve La Payunia, in Malargüe
It’s one of the volcanic parks with the highest density and diversity on the planet. For this reason and its scenic beauty, a large part of the reserve is part of a site proposed as a candidate for World Natural Heritage by UNESCO.

- Volcano tourist circuit: located in the Río Grande, Agua Escondida and Río Barrancas districts, 90 km from the city of Malargüe and about 570 km from the city of Mendoza.

The volcano circuit is open to all vehicles and lasts 4 hours, the tour consists of six stops where you will pass through Pampas Negras. Entry with a qualified guide is necessary to complete the complete tour. Otherwise, only a partial route can be made on RP 183.

Caverna de las Brujas Natural Reserve, Malargüe
It is a private underground environment with rocks of marine origin that house strange mineral forms. Among them: stalactites, stalagmites, columns, lava flows that come from the Jurassic period.
The Witches Cavern Natural Reserve It is 8 km north of Route 40 in the town of Bardas Blancas, 65 km south of the city of Malargüe.
With a duration of one and a half hours, The complete tour of the cavity, to the giant stalagmite room, is done in groups of 10 people per shift and with tour guide service. Mandatory enabled, which the visitor must contract on their own, since the entrance ticket does not include this service.

There is also a circuit along external trails (enabled) of medium difficulty due to uneven floors and differences in height, which require some physical effort and entry to the Giant Stalagmite Room. Children under 7 years of age are not allowed to enter.
