Emergency in Ibagué

The heavy rainfall that fell on the city during the night of this Friday, June 14, caused damage in some sectors of the capital of Tolima and left material losses. Also, one person was injured.

“Several emergencies occurred, one of them, the flooding of the Combeima River in the urban area, in the Dos Quebradas sector, near the El Tejar ravine. There the water entered a home and left damage to belongings. The Official Fire Department was present at the scene,” said Jessica Salcedo, Secretary of Environment and Risk Management.

The official also reported the fall of a wall of a house in the San Isidro neighborhood, due to a landslide, which left two people trapped and one of them injured. She was referred to a care center.

Likewise, reports were recorded in the Cay village, where the fall of a tree on the power cable network left this sector without electricity.
