The young María Fernanda Berrío died when her motorcycle crashed into a public passenger service vehicle, in the municipality of Hobo. A person accompanying the victim suffered serious injuries.
A woman died and another person was seriously injured, left by the collision of a motorcycle against a public passenger service vehicle, in a rural area of the municipality of Hobo.
The accident occurred in the area of the Botero fish farm, at the entrance to the urban area of the town of Hobeña, on the night of the previous Friday.
The fatal victim, identified as María Fernanda Berrío, was traveling in the company of another person, on the motorcycle, plate TGT-36C, when the moped suddenly collided with a vehicle affiliated with the passenger transport company Flota Huila, with plate TBS-25.
The young woman suffered serious injuries from the strong impact between the vehicles, which caused her death at the scene of the accident.
While the person accompanying her suffered serious injuries and was taken to the local hospital.
The lifeless body of María Fernanda was transferred to the town’s morgue. The woman was from the municipality of Plato, in the Caribbean department of Magdalena.
Local authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the tragic accident.
