The President of the Nation, Javier Milei, confirmed his attendance at the celebrations for Flag Day in the city of Rosario on June 20. This news was announced by his presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, through a message on his WhatsApp channel.
“On June 20, the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, will travel to Rosario to commemorate Flag Day,” declared Adorni. The confirmation of the president occurs after the formal invitation made through the usual protocol channels.
The municipality of Rosario had sent the formal invitation to the Military House and Protocol of the Presidency of the Nation, waiting for a response that was delayed until Adorni’s announcement. The Secretary of Government of the Municipality, Sebastián Chale, had explained that every year the national authorities are invited to participate in the official event for Flag Day, but until now no official confirmation had been received that the representative would attend.
“This must be confirmed by the Military House and the Protocol of the Presidency of the Nation. As every year, all national authorities were invited,” said Chale, highlighting the importance of the event and the relevance of the participation of the country’s highest authorities.
Entities and associations of Rosario, such as Valor Rosario, Rosario Regional Forum, Rosario Rural Society, Rosarina Association of Amateur Sports Entities (Areda), Apertura Foundation, Pro Rosario Association and National SME Movement (Monapy), have summoned Milei, the mayor Pablo Javkin, and Governor Maximiliano Pullaro to participate in the central event at the Flag Monument. “Let’s celebrate the man, the hero and our national flag, a symbol of union and identity,” they said in a joint statement.
