President Gabriel Boric referred to the installation of an Argentine military base that crosses into Chilean territory in the Magallanes region, calling for the construction to be removed as soon as possible.
This is the Hito 1 Maritime Traffic Surveillance and Control Post, a structure built on April 29 by the Argentine Navy and which for three meters crosses into Chilean territory.
“We received an apology from the Argentine Foreign Ministry, but I would like to tell you very clearly that with borders is not something that can be ambiguous and is a basic principle of respect between countries,” he declared.
“They must remove those solar panels as soon as possible or we are going to do it. I mentioned it to President Milei, “He told me that he was going to send it to his Minister of Foreign Affairs.”he added.
“I imagine that we are not going to have problems about it. What we have to do is respect the borders, that is what we are demanding regarding our territory. “Either they take it out or we take it out as soon as possible,” he claimed.
