On May 23, the atypical elections will be held to elect the mayor in the municipality of Tadó, Chocó.

These elections will have biometric stations to validate the identification of voters.

In total, there are 13,555 inhabitants of the municipality of Tadó who are eligible to vote in this atypical mayoral election, among them 6,985 women and 6,570 men.

Election day in Tadó is fulfilled by Decree 0071 of March 25, 2021, issued by the Government of Chocó, after the declaration of nullity of the territorial elections that were held in October 2019.

For this electoral process, the National Registry of Civil Status will install twelve voting stations, eleven of them in rural areas, in which fourteen voting tables were scheduled. There will be one more position in the urban area with 20 voting stations.

The electoral entity will use 10 biometric devices to validate the full identity of the voters who go to the polls.

Those who wish to check their voting location can do so through the page www.registraduria.gov.co using the button “check your voting location here.”

The National Registry of Civil Status reminds citizens that during election day it is mandatory to follow the established biosafety measures such as wearing face masks, maintaining physical distancing, disinfecting hands, using your own pen when marking the electoral card, depositing the vote without having contact with the ballot box and leaving the voting station immediately after exercising the right to vote, among other determinations.
