Pretoria, South Africa. – The Cuban vice president, Salvador Valdés Mesa, held this Tuesday in Pretoria, the South African capital, a meeting with the general secretary of the South African Communist Party, Solly Mapaila.
On the occasion, both political leaders highlighted the excellent level of ties between the Communist Party of Cuba and its South African counterpart, while recognizing the strength of the ties of solidarity between both nations.
During the dialogue, Mapaila reaffirmed his party’s support for the Cuban Revolution and condemned Washington’s unilateral inclusion of Cuba among the countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism.
For his part, Valdés Mesa thanked Mapaila for the support of the South African communists in favor of lifting Washington’s economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Cuban people and the solidarity shown over the years.
