Pereira, June 26, 2024. This scenario of deliberation and participation, led by Governor Juan Diego Patiño Ochoa in order to have a closer relationship with the presidents of the Communal Action Board and councilors of the city of Pereira, took place at the Santiago Londoño Theater with a large attendance of leaders, being the maximum expression of participatory democracy in the neighborhood, the village, the commune and the district.

The director of Governance and Democracy of the Government Secretariat, Jaime Echeverry García, explained the objective of the event:

“For Governor Juan Diego Patiño, it is important to provide necessary advice to all the community members of our department, thus strengthening the comprehensive development of the communities in Risaralda.”

With the idea of ​​ensuring every action and every effort to the community leaders, the necessary support will be provided to achieve all the objectives; The governor’s presence is a sign of his commitment to working together in close collaboration and overcoming challenges to move towards a more prosperous future.

Javier Contreras, president of the community action board of the La Victoria neighborhood, thanked the support:

“Governor Juan Diego Patiño is the hope that the processes we develop will be further strengthened; This year we have benefited thanks to the Government Secretariat, the Secretariat of Women, Development and Family, with the programs that they have brought to the neighborhood, such as the coladas, the wellness program and soon we will start with the hot soups program; “The governor has committed himself to the most vulnerable communities and families.”

The event was attended by the secretariats of Women, Family and Social Development, Rural and Agricultural Development, Education, Competitiveness and Government, in a joint effort that highlights the articulation of the processes necessary for the well-being of the Risaralda residents.
