Santiago Metro temporarily closes 10 stations on Line 1

This Saturday night, after 10:20 p.m., Santiago Metro announced the preventive closure of 10 stations on Line 1 due to an electric arc that “generated smoke that is dissipating in these minutes.”

As indicated in their X account, the service on said line is only available between Los Héroes to Los Dominicos.

The closed stations are:

• Saint Paul L1
• Neptune
• birdies
• The jail
• Ecuador
• San Alberto Hurtado
• University of Santiago
• Central Station
• ULA
• Republic

From Red Movilidad they announced on their social networks that they will have support buses from San Pablo to Los Héroes. They added that, if in doubt, people can call call center 24/7: 600 730 0073 (from landlines) or 800 73 0073 (from cell phones).
