The Salesian community in San Luis Potosí is developing a project that seeks to provide comprehensive support to young migrants in the state of San Luis Potosí, according to the information portal of the Salesian missions.

The Namuncurá Youth Residences initiative is in progress in Salesian communities in the city of Tijuana and in the community of San José in the state of Potosí.

The headquarters of both communities are being remodeled, equipped and staffed.

In both communities, job training, psychological assistance, accommodation and other basic services will be provided to people who are in migration, who are looking for better educational and job opportunities, as well as especially those who have been victims of organized crime, structural violence and other situations. of vulnerability.

Courses related to electricity, welding and customer service will be offered in the Potosí entity.

It is a three-year proposal that began in November 2023, and has been carried out with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Don Bosco Mondo Salesian Office (DBM) and the local contribution of the headquarters. involved.
