Within this framework, the Municipality of Córdoba, through the Ente Córdoba Obras y Servicios (COyS), and the Provincial Energy Company of Córdoba (Epec) signed a collaboration agreement.

This agreement seeks to ensure that the aerial and underground cables discarded by the electricity company are recovered by the COyS, for reuse and reintegration into the Circular Economy.

In this way, the copper, aluminum and PVC of these cables can be used for new functions, giving recycled material a new opportunity.

During the Summit, the COyS presented some of the actions it carries out regarding the Circular Economy, among which are the tasks carried out at the Telas Green Center and the Ecofem Green Center and different discussions with some of the cooperatives with those who work.

Córdoba has been working on recycling materials for 5 years.

The Green Textile Center is a space specially dedicated to the recovery of textiles, which constitutes one of the most polluting industries in the world.

The Ecofem Green Center, for its part, is established as an inclusive center operated and managed entirely by women and people from the LGBTIQ+ community.

In addition, at a special stand within the Circular Economy Fair, they presented the work carried out within the Green Centers and the Waste Transfer Centers, especially in terms of plastic recovery, with the public showing games, eco-lenses and different types of recycled material.

The IV World Circular Economy Summit, the important global event organized by Córdoba through the BioCórdoba Entity, had more than 73 thousand visitors during its three days, held at the Fair Complex of the capital city.
