The young and child artists of the majestic Baranoa Band that represents the culture of the Atlantic and the country continue to make their mark on the most demanding stages in Colombia and abroad. On this occasion, they will be part of the central show of the Election and Coronation of the National Queen of Bambuco that will take place this Sunday, June 30, at the ‘Jorge Villamil Cordovez’ Music Park, in Neiva, Huila.
The director of the Band, Hilton Escobar, indicated that he has already prepared the entire artistic assembly that he will take to Neiva with which he hopes to once again surprise those attending the event and those who appreciate art from the different digital platforms and television channels.
“After 19 years we return to Neiva, to this event that is so important for the country’s culture such as the Festivals of San Juan and San Pedro where our boys, the majority who come for the first time because we were here in 2005, have all their batteries in. so that in the retina of the attendees there remains a show that they will not forget in years with a load of tradition and culture that is very Colombian, very Caribbean,” Escobar noted.
He added that, by instruction of the governor of Atlántico, Eduardo Verano, the group of artists will leave very comfortably this Friday in three buses from the headquarters of the Band to the department of Huila. “We traveled with a team of 120 people, including artists, support staff and technicians. There is a lot of expectation among the organizers of the event because several times we had not been able to meet due to the agenda and this is a golden opportunity to show everything we have evolved in these years,” said the director of the Band.
The majesty of the Band will have an enveloping introduction that will give way to a “Celia Cruz Show”, then the performance of “Manguito biche”, a sample of snare drum and guacharaca, “La Cañaguatera”, a song that Alfredo Gutiérrez immortalized and that also artists such as Carlos Vives have sung it; a festival mix in which tribute will be paid to Los Embajadores, “Cali pachanguero”, “Hips don’t lie” by Shakira, a mix of songs by the Rosario Brothers and will close with an artistic composition in which tribute will be paid. to his majesty the bambuco (Sanjuanero), flagship air of the Opita land.
NEW COMMAND FOR THE DEATA
The most modern Police Command built outside the capital cities of the country will be in the department of Atlántico in the municipality of Sabanalarga and this Thursday, June 26, will be its opening. The Minister of Defense, Iván Velásquez Gómez, and the director general of the National Police, William Salamanca, confirmed their presence at this inauguration event. The central show will be performed by the majestic Baranoa Band.
