A police operation kept Dortmund central station closed for several minuteswith trains full of fans on the platforms without moving a few hours before the start of the Turkey-Portugal match that takes place at 6:00 p.m. (CEST) at Signal Iduna Park, home of Borussia Dortmund.
“A police operation hinders rail traffic in the area of Dortmund central station. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have information on the duration of the disturbances”, reported DB, the company in charge of rail transport in the North Rhine-Westphalia area, the area to which Dortmund central station belongs.
With the area cordoned off and with several German police officers guarding and patrolling inside, the station was completely empty and the surrounding areas were cleared. At 6:00 p.m., Turkey-Portugal will begin at the Signal Iduna Park, corresponding to this second day of Euro 2024.
A few minutes to know and as AS was able to verify, the station worked again without any problem, so nothing serious happened inside the station and it was only closed for a few minutes for security reasons.
