A shutout from Madeline Atway and Teah Chavez and 6-3 victory from the duo of Irina Cantos Siemers and Luciana Perry gave the Buckeyes the double point and 1-0 lead over the No. 10 seed Nittany Lions. Perry and Chavez then won in straight sets for a 3-0 lead. The Nittany Lions took the next team point but Cantos Siemers closed out her court one match to clinch the Buckeye victory.

- Ohio State captured the double point with wins on courts three and one.
- The duo of Madeline Atway and Teah Chavez did not drop a game on court three against Karly Friedland and Yvonne Zuffova.
- After Penn State took court two 6-1, the Buckeyes’ No. 31-ranked duo of Irina Cantos Siemers and Luciana Perry downed Sofiya Chekhlystova and Olivia Dorner on court one, 6-3, for the doubles point. The Buckeyes jumped out to a 4-0 lead en route to the win.
- Perry continued her momentum into singles, where she dropped just three games in a 6-2, 6-1 win over Zuffova on court two.
- Chavez moved the Buckeyes to a 3-0 lead, as she defeated Friedland on court five, 6-4, 6-2.
- Penn State won on court four for a 3-1 team score.
- The clinching point came from captain Cantos Siemers on court one against Chekhlystova, with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. In the first set the Buckeye broke for a 5-4 lead and served it out. In the second, Cantos Siemers was ahead 4-2. Chekhlystova won the next two games for 4-all. Cantos Siemers then broke on the no-ad point for a 5-4 lead. In the final game, she was down 0-40 but won the final four points for the set and match.
- The other two matches were abandoned. On court three Sydni Ratliff had rallied to force a third set and on court six Audrey Spencer was up early in the third set after winning the first and dropping the second.
- Cantos Siemers leads the Buckeyes with 15 dual match wins, while Perry and Chavez both have 11 victories in dual matches. Cantos Siemers and Perry are 6-1 in dual matches as a doubles tandem, with Atway and Chavez 2-2.
