“We’re fine,” is the way we Christopher Uckermann confirms that things between RBD are at peace, despite the fact that in recent weeks controversy has been generated around the relationship of Anahi with Guillermo Rosas, who was the group’s manager and friend of Manuel Velascohusband of the singer, and who today is accused of fraud on the Soy Rebelde tour.

“Many things are said, but what I can say is that right now everyone is on their own projects, because in some way it was a short tour but very intense.”

The singer-songwriter explains that, by ending that tour for the group’s 20 years, the five: Anahí, Dulce María, Maite Perroni, Christian Chávez and he decided to give themselves space for their personal goals, especially those who are mothers and couldn’t extend the tour.

But knowing that Soy Rebelde has been one of the most successful tours of recent years (raised more than 130.5 million dollars), the members of the Mexican group put an end to the reunion, due to the alleged mismanagement that Guillermo Rosas, through the company TH6 Entertainment, made the profits and for which there is around a million dollars still unrecorded.

“It was at the beginning of the tour that things began to happen that made us think that there could have been money diversion on a tour this big. This happens on many tours, I think what we are uncovering is that this is something very common,” says Uckermann.

Only since they are no longer the same twenty-somethings who became popular in the early 2000s with Rebelde, the five took the reins of the group and their careers, which is why they became partners in the company Soul Production Inc.

“We wanted everything to be transparent, that’s something we tell artists, to take responsibility for their career. It gets tiresome, yes, but they can also have someone they trust extremely, and it is still important that they know how the business works,” says Uckermann.

The singer comments that many artists have gone through this situation, because unfortunately when they place their trust and finances in third parties, they let themselves be corrupt for money.

The actor also explains that there is still a lot of time left to make known how this matter is going, because they first want to wait to have complete information before knowing what the next step will be.

“We are in a process of audits and moving forward on that side, that is what we have so far. We have not spoken with Guillermo, because we do not want to do it on the air until we have certain numbers and certain information. Yes they were made bad management of certain things, but we will inform you later what happens.”

For Christopher, his time with RBD is not completely over, not only because of the legal process that they are going through with their former manager, he adds, but also because among the medium and long-term plans is to record a live album and a documentary about the group.

“Right now everyone is in their universe, but let’s see what happens in the future; We didn’t think there was going to be a reunion “After 20 years and it happened… anything is possible,” says the singer.

Christopher Uckermann shares that he began working in a new album solo, once he finished the tour with RBD in December 2023, for which he invited the Colombian musician and producer Juan Ariza, who has worked with international stars like Harry Styles and Dua Lipa, and they already showed their work with the single “Bien bien singular.”

“As we saw that there was good synergy and then I have very crazy ideas, I told my team and him that I would love to release a song in 24 hours, make the followers part of the process, so that they could see how it is composed in the studio; “We put GoPro cameras and did it live and people could see in real time how it was being done.”

So, in a single day he composed this song, they recorded it, they mixed it, mastered and they released it through a temporary link, but they also made the video with fragments of what happened at that time. This happened a month ago, but formally 10 days ago “Bien bien singular” is now available on all digital platforms.

“The theme talks about trying to have fewer barriers in front of others, because we go out into a concrete jungle from the moment we leave our homes and that is why we protect ourselves, but what would happen if we did not make it so obvious and we could connect with a strange, or understand you without talking to that person.”

Christopher comments that he has taken his time between one album and another, the last one was Sutil Universo in 2020, not because of a lack of inspiration, but because work in films and series came into his hands (She walks alone, Diablero, Pacífico), for therefore, your musical facet was paused on several occasions.

“It wasn’t until after this great tour with RBD, where I also had the opportunity to be creative on the show, that I was able to say: right now I want to dedicate myself to music, I want to give it the time it deserves and that I couldn’t give it in many years.” , he points out.

Although he has built a solid career as an actor, Christopher feels that it is more him composing and making music, and he owes that to his time in RBD, because it was this group that gave him the opportunity to prepare in this field, and he is grateful for it.

“I understand and embrace what RBD is, the giant that he is, but I really enjoy playing, taking the guitar or getting on the drums, because I know that when I get off the gears it means building a path again.”
