In a recent interview for Angie Palomino’s podcast, the salsa singer said that after her revelations, her career as a soloist was overshadowed and several people turned their backs on her.

“It’s a topic that I touched on a long time ago, it revolutionized my entire life in some way. “I can say it now, it took away job opportunities and many things from me for going out and talking about something that is mine, my identity.”Amy Gutiérrez said at the beginning.

Afterwards, the Peruvian artist regretted that society still condemns people for their sexual orientation.

“It made me very sad, how sad it was to see that I really dared to say something that I have always felt when I was very little, I have always felt that way, and they began to see me as strange or as someone who is not sane or that I have no personality.” , he added.

In an interview for the YouTube program “Questions that Burn,” hosted by actor Christopher Gianotti, Amy Gutiérrez spoke openly about her sexual orientation.

“Have you ever kissed a woman?”, Christopher asked. The salsa girl answered yes and explained that she did it while she was playing the bottle drunk with a group of friends.

At another point in the conversation, the “Someone” interpreter confessed that on more than one occasion she has felt attracted to the beauty of a woman, but she does not consider herself bisexual, as she indicated that beyond gender, she pays attention to the people’s personality.

“I have felt attracted by the beauty of some woman and I have said ‘she is pretty.’ (…) I can’t tell you that I am bisexual, but I also can’t say that I am of only one gender. I feel that I am one of the people who are like pansexual. I never look at the physique. (…) For now, I have only had relationships with men; However, I love the personality”, commented the singer on that occasion.

According to the organization GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), pansexuality is defined as “the romantic, emotional, or sexual attraction to people of all genders and sexual orientations”. This means that pansexual people do not feel limited by the gender binary (male/female) and can be attracted to individuals who identify as male, female, transgender, intersex, gender non-binary, and others.
