Statuto Group has acquired Six Senses Ibiza, purchasing it for a record price in Spain, according to the media elEconomista.es. Until now the owner was Beach Box, financed by Metric Capital and it has divested the asset with a maximum price that had not been reached in the hotel sector for years.
In this sense, and as pointed out by the same aforementioned media, the hotel located in Sant Joan has been sold for around 200 million euros, placing itself ahead of the 1.4 million euros that RLH Properties paid per room in the purchase of the Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid in November 2018, according to Colliers data.
Six Senses Ibiza has 116 rooms, so Statuto would have paid an average of 1.7 million per stay. Likewise, the complex was recognized as one of the best hotels on the planet in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023. As elEconomista.es advances, the same company already purchased Six Senses Roma in October 2023 for a price of 245 million euros, making it the highest transaction in Italy and one of the most relevant in Europe, since a price of 2.6 million was paid per room.
Statuto also has other hotels in Ibiza, such as W Ibiza, a five-star hotel with 125 rooms and 37 suites, which was previously managed by Scala Capital and managed by Marriott International.
