The camp gathered more than 4,000 people in front of the Radioelectric Command I on Uruguay Avenue.

The 12 day camp

The police protest began on May 17. It was 3 in the morning when hooded police crossed the first patrol cars in front of the command located on Uruguay de Posadas Avenue and began a burning of roofs that in a few hours transformed into a camp that lasted for twelve days, when they finally reached an agreement with the provincial government.

There were twelve days of extreme tension, with permanent meetings, crossed accusations and threats of application of the famous anti-picketing protocol of Patricia Bullrich with federal uniformed personnel.

During all those days of protest, prosecutor Casals insisted time and again on the use of patrol cars for the measure of force, requesting the return of the vehicles, although he never obtained results. On the days with the greatest attendance at the camp, they were able to identify about 30 official vehiclesincluding a fire truck.

“They stole a patrol car and, with their faces covered, they threw rubber bands and then set them on fire. More than police, they are picketers. This delegitimizes any type of claim. Now they played music. The situation is almost circus”, was the summary of the demonstration made as soon as the conflict began by the Government Minister Marcelo Perezin dialogue with Infobae, which was the prelude to the announcement of the filed complaints.

Prosecutor René Casals requested on several occasions the return of the vehicles identified in the protest.
