The billionaire is the main person accused of the new controversy that relates X to Brazil

Two weeks ago we learned that Elon Musk had problems in Brazil for his last controversial decision. The billionaire, known for his work at the head of companies such as Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter, is in the eye of the storm for an aspect related to the social network. And, as we commented a few days ago, his extreme defense of freedom of expression led him to ignore a request from the Government of Brazil and, therefore, to start a “war” against the leaders of said country.

As the portal points out Reuters in a recent publicationJudge Alexandre de Moraes ordered the blockade of multitude of accounts related to the mandate of Jair Bolsonaro. Apparently, these spread fake news and they committed hate crimes constantly, which is why it was ruled that the most appropriate thing to do was to restrict access to these profiles. But, in defense of freedom of expression, Musk ruled that the platform I was not going to veto the bills and, therefore, began a direct confrontation against Brazil.

Elon Musk has until Friday to explain his position

However, as expected, the situation was not going to end there. According to information from Reuters, neither Musk nor any spokesperson or member of Twitter has offered public statements about it related to the case that took place in Brazil. For this reason, although the blocking of accounts was ordered, it is not yet effective and, consequently, Judge Moraes has requested a “explanation for notable non-compliance”.

To this ruling, it must be added that Moraes indicated that the deadline to receive said explanation is this Friday April 26. In this way, if the Government of the South American country does not receive the reasons why Musk ignored the veto, it is likely that the platform will face a possible ban in Brazil. Be that as it may, since 2022 those responsible for the Brazilian government have already vetoed 226 accounts and, according to reports, they do not plan to stop there.
