After discovering a large reserve of this energy in the Pyrenees, France agreed to allow Spain to continue with its large project to extract and exploit white hydrogen. This discovery has generated renewed interest in clean energy and has enhanced collaboration between both countries.
It is necessary to mention that the reserve is expected to contain around about 100 million tons of this energy, an amount that must be extracted over a long period of time, around 60 years. However, Spain will position itself as the first country to manufacture its first white hydrogen well.
Being a considerably big step for Spain with the use of this gas as fuel internally and externally by being able to market it on a promising global scale. In addition to obtaining permission for the exploitation of hydrogen, the project also includes the extraction of helium and other substances.
How will the ambitious project be carried out?
For the extraction of white H2, the use of cutting-edge technology has been planned in the program, both in equipment and technical knowledge. This is what will allow the continuous production 24 hours a day, 365 days a year uninterruptedly.
It is important to note that, despite its ability to operate continuously, The surface area needed for facilities and equipment is relatively smaller than that needed for the application of solar systems. and wind that generate similar power.
