The mayor of Barranquilla, Alejandro Char, highlighted that the capital of the Atlantic will be the scene of a new international event: the Latam Fintech Market 2024.
“Barranquilla has all its doors open for the most important technological event in the country! Thank you Gabriel Santos (executive president of Colombia FinTech) for your visit and that of your team, count on our full support,” said the president in his X account.
The event will take place from September 5 to 6 and will have among its most notable guests: David Velez, founder of Nubank and one of the men with the greatest economic power in the country.

“I take this opportunity to invite all young people and entrepreneurs in the Caribbean not to miss this tremendous experience that will bring together the greatest exponents of the fintech ecosystem in Latin America”he added.
And he highlighted: “What a pride that our city continues to be the epicenter of great events. We continue working so that the world continues to choose and recognize the great potential that Barranquilla has.”
This will be the sixth edition of the Latam Fintech Market and brings together 1,800 leaders and experts from the financial technology sector.
The capital of Atlántico will also host the Fenalco Congress, the Cotelco Annual Assembly and the Camacol Congress.
