The renowned Chamamecero singer-songwriter, Mario Bofill, 75 years old, was admitted to the Corrientes Cardiology Institute over the weekend, and on his third day of hospitalization they announced his state of health.
In this regard, the new health report reports that “the patient continues on his third day of hospitalization, clinically compensated, lucid and cooperative, moving around his room on his own.”
The statement added that “given that slight motor neurological disorders were found in the muscles of the face, speech and swallowing, it was decided to repeat the brain magnetic resonance study, finding a small area of acute cerebral ischemia compatible with said clinical findings.”
“The team of professionals assisting him decided to continue with the same pharmacological treatment scheme and it was not necessary to perform endovascular intervention. He also continues with intensive rehabilitation treatment,” they reported.
It should be noted that Bofill is about to turn 76 years old on June 16, and has had a musical career for around half a century. In October 2021 he had announced his retirement from the stage, however, in the middle of the following year he returned to tour the region’s festivals and receive the ovation of his audience. He is one of the most popular artists at the National Chamamé Festival.
