Encalada resigned from the position last week and President Daniel Noboa appointed Naranjo, on Tuesday night, through a decree.

According to the MSP, Naranjo indicated that it is a great challenge that Noboa has entrusted to him and his objective is to contribute to the growth of the health system in the country.
Naranjo Paz y Miño registers with the Secretariat of Higher Education (Senescyt) a third-level degree of doctor in Medicine and Surgery, from the Central University of Ecuador. And a fourth level degree as a specialist in internal medicine, awarded by the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

The doctor appears as general manager of Hospifuturo SA, Axxis Hospital de Especialidades, in Quito.
The new minister took a tour of the facilities of that State portfolio, which are located south of Quito, in Quitumbe, in the Government Platform for Social Development, and greeted some of the workers of the state entity.
The official has at least two challenges: the supply of medicines, supplies and devices in hospitals and health centers, as well as debts with external health providers.
