In the first edition of the Comic Culture Experience (CCXP) festival in Mexico, Disney presented its most anticipated releases of this year in front of thousands of fans. These are two films: Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom and Alien: Romulusand the saga series Star Wars: The Acolyte.

The closest delivery will be Thursday, May 9 with the arrival of the new film in the saga Planet of the Apes from 20th Century Studios, which tells the story of a world in which humans have lost all their cognitive abilities and are forced to live in the shadows, while The apes are predominant and vie for control.

The director and producer Wesball He brought peace of mind to the fans of the franchise who were listening attentively at CCXP and assured them that, despite being chronologically located several generations after Caesar’s reign, the presence of the mythical character is still present in history.

“The film reveals deep themes about humanity, but it was equally important to me that it be entertaining and enjoyable. The film strikes a balance between deep reflection and having an immersive cinematic experience,” Ball said.

The result was a film of almost two and a half hours full of action and tension in which the young ape Noa has to free his clan from the fearsome leader Proximus, who in the name of the deceased Caesar, frightens and enslaves the rest of the apes.

Comic Con Mexico takes place this first weekend of May in Mexico.

On this journey that will lead him to rethink everything he knows about the past and humans, Noa has the unexpected company of an orangutan named Raka and a woman, Mae, played by Freya Allan, who despite being alone, has her own hidden objectives behind this journey.
