However, in recent days he has given a lot to talk about by calling for the vote next Sunday June 2. And he not only highlighted the importance of exercising this right, he also highlighted the ‘failures’ of the six-year term of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
The video went viral on social networks and several Internet users attacked the protagonist of ‘No returns accepted’ for expressing his political opinion. Among these, a tweet from José Ramón López Beltrán, son of AMLO, stood out, since he considered that Derbez’s speech promotes the vote in favor of Xochitl Galvezcandidate for the presidency of Mexico for the ‘Strength and heart for Mexico’ coalition,
“In short, this faut, racist, classist, superfluous and hypocritical comedian, with his sloppy, old-fashioned and lance-like reflection, wants us to vote for the corrupt PRIAN and for corruption, injustice and privileges to return.”
The ‘Queen of Soap Operas’ held a brief meeting with the media outside an event she attended in the company of her son, José Eduardo Derbez, and her daughter-in-law, Paola Dalay. There, she was questioned about the criticism that she constantly receives from her ex-partner for sharing her political opinion and her opinion about the reaction that AMLO’s son had about it.
“Eugenio is already seasoned, too. “He knows how he does it and why he does it,” he commented on the criticism.
At that moment, a reporter took up the words that José Ramón López Beltrán said about his recent call to vote and she reacted with her characteristic sense of humor: “Well, it is true”.
He immediately clarified that he was joking and assured that he was unaware of the situation the comedian was facing for giving his opinion on politics: “I didn’t know all that, to be honest.”
Victoria Ruffo ended her comment on the matter with a reflection on the situations that she, her ex-partner and any other famous person have to face when they publicly express their opinion on a topic:
“When you open your mouth, you have to take into account many things. Both the one there, the one here and the one there. I didn’t see it, the truth is that I don’t see anything about Eugenio.”
