Citizen Income, Colombia Mayor and Young Income: when can you claim the money?

Three of the Social Prosperity programs are making money transfers to their beneficiaries. These are Young Income, Senior Colombia and Citizen Income. We tell you what the deadlines are for making transfers and how to check if it is available.

Young Income

The first cycle of Young Income payments is made between April 26 and May 10. The program is a new version of Jóvenes en Acción that benefits 122,494 people.

The incentives of the first day are aimed at students of the National Learning Service (SENA) who completed registration in the last academic period of 2023 and for the beneficiaries of some higher education institutions with delays in reports and who reported registration compliance for the second semester of 2023.

This is how the money will be delivered

The incentives are delivered mainly through credit to an account managed by the financial operator established by the program, to ensure the financial inclusion of the population. For this reason, participants must make the necessary arrangements to carry out the banking process.

This year Daviplata, Davivienda’s electronic wallet will deliver the Young Income incentives. Payment will be made through two methods:

• Banked: for those young people who have an account with the payment operator DaviPlata. Through DaviPlata, participants will also be able to collect at ATMs, Puntored, Reval, Tpaga or Efecty points.
• Turn: for those who do not have said financial product. The transfers can be collected from DaviPlata’s payment partners, such as Efecty or Reval, following the payment schedule established for each city. Here you can check the payment points.

How to activate in the DaviPlata App?

1. On a smart phone with internet access, you must download the Daviplata application from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Enter the document type and number.
3. Take a photo of the ID with your cell phone to verify your identity in the application.
4. Complete the other personal information requested.
5. Write the code that will arrive as a text message to your cell phone.
6. Accept terms and conditions, after reading them you can click on the box and then continue.
7. Enter a password, which will be the password to enter the application.

Greater Colombia

The program for seniors is in its fourth payment cycle for beneficiaries. 1,675,210 are the beneficiaries of Colombia Mayor.

The money will be transferred between April 26 and May 10. For this, Social Prosperity has allocated 147,133 million pesos.

This is how you can claim the money in SuperGIROS

1. You will receive notification of the availability of your payment via text message on your registered cell phone.

3. They must approach the payment point with their original document and identify themselves as participants in the Colombia Mayor program.
4. Before leaving the point: count the money and request the payment slip.

Please note that accessing the subsidy no payment required some, nor purchase products at the point of payment.

In addition, people over 90 years of age or with mobility difficulties can request home payment, for which SuperGIROS is responsible for coordinating delivery.

Citizen Income

From April 30 to May 17, payments will be made for the first cycle corresponding to the first line of intervention, Care Valuation, of Citizen Income.

The 519,408 households that are beneficiaries will receive 500 thousand pesos at the SuRED payment points.

Step by step to claim the subsidy

To receive the monetary transfer, the household must:

• Verify that the home is registered in the program, which can be done through the platform https://rentaciudadana.prosperidadsocial.gov.co/.
• Verify that the home is in active status, which can be done through our official channels or in the municipal mayor’s offices.
• The beneficiary will receive a text message, from SuRED, to the cell phone registered in the Sisbén IV survey, indicating that the program transfer is available. You can also consult through the channels enabled by the operator to find out the partner network where you can receive the money.
• Once you validate availability, you go to the authorized SuRED point of sale or partner where the payment is assigned.
• The beneficiary must present his or her original identification document, since payment is not made to third parties.
• Payment validation and biometric verification are carried out.
• Finally, payment is made and the corresponding strip is delivered.
