District Mayor’s Office arrives in Guachaca with a historic day of comprehensive care and citizen participation

The Guachaca community benefited from a day of comprehensive care carried out in the community hall of this township.

The different secretariats of the administration of Carlos Pinedo Cuello, in collaboration with health-providing entities and the Sena, offered services of general medicine, vaccination, cytology, oral hygiene, affiliation to EPS, Sisbén, updating to the Senior Adult program and specially directed recreational activities. for boys and girls. The primary objective is to close gaps and make our region visible, starting by breaking down territorial borders through alternative mechanisms to solve existing problems in rural areas.

The Undersecretary of Rural Development leads initiatives to bring institutional services to the rural communities of Santa Marta, which represents a historical milestone for the city, since the District Mayor’s Office of Santa Marta has decentralized its operations and has paid special attention to rural areas. , under the direction of the mayor of the 500 years, Carlos Pinedo Cuello.

The ESE Alejandro Próspero Reverend and the Ministry of Health offered general medicine, vaccination, dentistry and EPS membership services. The Planning Secretariat presented the Sisbén offer, affiliations and updating of data, while the Social Promotion Secretariat socialized the Citizen Income program and updated data from the Colombia Mayor program. For its part, the Government Secretariat provided advice to the community in the creation and formalization of Community Action Boards. In addition, the Undersecretary of Rural Development offered advice on formalization, associativity, registration for technical assistance to producers and academic offerings in coordination with SENA.

As a result of this activity, the ESE Alejandro Próspero Reverend carried out 10 cytology tests, 20 dental care, 36 vaccinations, 46 affiliations, 100 registrations in the Psychosocial Care and Comprehensive Health Program for Victims (Papsivi), 120 general medicine consultations and 25 consultations on Child Growth and Development. On the other hand, the EPS Coosalud served 20 people, while the District Health Secretariat served 34 people and affiliated 12 people to EPS.

The institutional cabinet was attended by Yorlenis María Suárez, undersecretary of Rural Development; Patricia Caicedo, Secretary of Planning; Jorge Paulo Lastra, Secretary of District Health; Aroldo Pizarro, manager of the ESE Alejandro Próspero Reverend; Camilo George, Secretary of Government; David Farelo, Secretary of Social Promotion; Mario Tausa from the Population Directorate and Anderson Ruiz, director of Communities.

Additionally, as part of an effort to encourage citizen participation, a decentralized session of the councilors of Locality 1 Tayrona – San Pedro Alejandrino was held. This session, which aimed to get closer to the communities and listen to their needs to reach solution agreements, marks a milestone in the history of the city as it is the first time it has been held in a township. The local mayor, Carlos Arango, the councilors of Locality 1, representatives of ASOJUNTAR and ASOCOMUNALES, as well as the undersecretary of Rural Development, the high Councilor for Peace, Jennifer del Toro, and representatives of the Promotion areas participated in this session.
