The Dr. Emilio Coni school reopened the Early Care Room – www.mendoza.edu.ar

The educational community of school 2-007 presented the reconditioning of the Early Care physical space with the aim of accompanying early childhood with devices and materials that guarantee support and safety for the children who attend.

The reopening of the Early Care Room took place at School No. 2-007 Dr. Emilio Coni, in the department of Godoy Cruz. The event was led by its director, Verónica Peralta; the vice director, Natalia Lucero; teachers and staff who collaborated with the remodeling of the Early Care Room. They were accompanied by the Early Educational Attention representative of the DGE’s Special Education Directorate, Mariela Alonso, and representatives of the Disability area of ​​the Municipality of Godoy Cruz.

Among the objectives of the event, the need and enhancement of the improvements that since the beginning of the 2024 school year were raised, both by the educational community and the management carried out by the head of the school’s Early Care room, Elisa Quiroga Balmaceda, managed to recondition this device, making this device a fundamental and founding element of the intervention.

For his part, Balmaceda expressed: “everything happened in a magical way; It was asking and having it arrive, to the right people in the right places. Personally, it was unthinkable to occupy this space again, but it happened. I am grateful because being with boys and girls again is a caress that few of us can enjoy.” After reading a poem by Eduardo Galeano, Balmaceda thanked the director Verónica and the vice director Natalia “for trusting me and letting me do what I did.”

What is Early Care? Early Educational Attention for Child Development, according to Resolution 2019-3757-GDEMZA-DGE, is the set of interventions aimed at the child population, the family and the environment, which aim to respond as soon as possible to the transitory or permanent needs presented by children with developmental disorders or who are at risk of suffering from them. These interventions are planned by a multiprofessional team with a global nature and interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary orientation.

What practice is it? Early Child Development Care is a social and professional practice that emerges from a specific concern. It is based on a conception of the child, a conception of development and a conception of the role of the adult, the family, society, institutions, and professionals, in supporting and underpinning child development. Conception that also reflects the necessary conditions so that the adult, the family, the institution and society can fulfill that role.

Objectives: Manage primary prevention actions in the territory. Identify development alerts in the child population. Establish support networks. Monitor and monitor disorders in the course of development. Promote early detection and diagnosis. Promote respectful parenting actions.

Specific Early Educational Attention Techniques: Observation is a constituent as a method of evaluation and monitoring of child development, because it allows the development of devices that promote capabilities.

In this way, the Early Care Rooms of Special Education schools highlight that boys and girls need professionals and spaces that look at, support, accompany and care from a framework of law. It is of utmost importance to respect and accommodate children, through an individualized approach in rooms for infants and their families.
