Siachoque
In the rural area of Siachoque, Boyacá, the death of a woman and her two children, who lost their lives in an incident in the Tocavita village.

Initial reports indicate that the tragedy took place this Friday, May 10, when one of the children was drawing water from a reservoir and accidentally fell into the water. Faced with the distressing situation, her brother and mother jumped into the water in a desperate attempt to save them, but tragically all three lost their lives at the scene.
The victims were identified as Yaneth Vargas Boyacá, along with her two children: Anderson and Sebastián Tibatá Vargas, 12 and 7 years old respectively. The rescue team, after intense work, found the lifeless bodies of the woman and the two minors in the reservoir, located 4 kilometers from the urban area of Siachoque.
Local authorities and the CTI of the Attorney General’s Office They carried out the inspection and removal of the bodies, completing these tasks around 9:30 p.m.
How did the events occur?
According to the testimonies of some neighbors of the truth to the media, The minors went out around 5:40 in the afternoon to feed some animals that were in a plot near the point of the tragedy. When they reached the point, it was already dark and they did not notice the reservoir, where two of the minors fell.
Seeing the situation, the other minor ran for help and that is when the minors’ mother arrived at the point, with her other 16-year-old daughter, but could not save them. The community came to help the other was a minor, who fortunately was rescued by a neighbor who entered the reservoir with a noose.
According to the mayor of Siachoque, Plinio Hernández,, to Caracol Televisión, the children went to the place to see some animals that they have next to the family farm. The first to fall was the youngest, 7 years old, and his brother, in desperate help, also entered the reservoir.
