A man was captured in the Portal del Norte neighborhood of Pitalito after attacking a National Police patrol vehicle, during a procedure for alleged shots fired into the air.
The attack occurred while a patrol responded to the community’s call, worried about the gunshots heard in the area.
In a state of intoxication, the man pushed the patrol vehicle, causing it to fall on the glass of a bottle that he himself had broken in an act of provocation.. As a result, the uniformed woman suffered a laceration to one of her upper extremities. After the attack, the man was arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent authorities, accused of violence against a public servant.
The Huila Police Department called on the community to respect the procedures and the uniformed officers who work to guarantee coexistence and citizen safety. The authorities recalled the importance of maintaining order and collaborating with the police in the performance of their duty.

These two subjects were placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office, as presumed responsible for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics.
