Three days before the 2024 electoral process concluded, in which Enrique Galindo Ceballosmunicipal president of San Luis Potosí with a license, was virtually declared the winner, it was announced that this June he could return to his duties as mayor of the capital.
According to information provided to EL UNIVERSAL San Luis Potosíon behalf of the licensed mayor’s team, Enrique Galindo Ceballos is awaiting the official results of the State Electoral and Citizen Participation Council, to resume his duties as elected municipal president.
On April 18, the capital’s Town Council approved by a qualified majority the license to the position of municipal president to Enrique Galindo to run for re-election to the position by the coalition Strength and Heart for San Luismade up of the PRI, PAN and PRD.
The license granted to Galindo Ceballos was from April 19, 2024, until September 30, 2024, the day on which the current period of municipal government would end.
At the head of the municipal administration of San Luis Potosí was the then councilor Alexandra Cid González, who was appointed interim mayor during this process.
