As Enzo Amith Toncel Guerra, The man found dead and with signs of torture was identified in a rural area between the municipalities of Fonseca and Barrancas, south of La Guajira.

The body was found by residents of the sector known as the ‘Sierra de los Britos’, which already showed decomposition, but was immediately recognized by his relatives who came to the scene along with the National Police.

It was learned that Toncel Guerra was a motorcycle taxi driver by trade on a motorcycle with a carriage, as is common in this region. The last time they saw him alive was last Saturday, June 8, when he left his home in Fonseca, to earn his daily living.

Said vehicle was found between the Wheat and Cañaboba trails, in Fonseca, which led to the assumption that the victim could be there, but it was only the motorcycle because the search continued by his relatives.
For now, there are no indications of who the perpetrators of the homicide were. The authorities are trying to establish the motives and perpetrators.

Enzo Amith Toncel Guerra was the brother of Irma Toncel Guerra, who along with her husband Emigdio Oñate Arrieta, was burned to death on April 13, in their own residence in the Alto Prado neighborhood of Fonseca.
