The Pereira Health Secretariat closed a second Chinese restaurant in the city center due to recent findings in inspection, surveillance and control operations.

The closure was carried out due to serious violations of health standards, including the presence of rodents, pests, inadequate storage of raw materials, humidity and poor hygiene practices.
The coordinator of the area, Andrea Jara, referred to the health measure that temporarily suspends the operation of the place, “we saw the need to continue and intensify operations at establishments dedicated to food preparation and unfortunately we must do the second Closing of Chinese restaurant, this time in the Lago de Pereira park area. Our duty is to take care of the health of the people of Pereira and we will continue to inspect an issue as sensitive as food handling and preparation.”
He explained that the owner of the establishment must take immediate measures to solve location issues, cleaning, disinfection, elimination of pests and rodents and changing some kitchen equipment and utensils.
