Opening hours and recommendations

If you plan to visit the protected natural area after the next June 13here are some recommendations that you should keep in mind before embarking on a trip to the island, in addition to the park’s opening hours.

The most important thing you need to know is that Johnny Cay is a small oceanic islet (cay) located very close to the island of San Andrés. Declared Regional Natural Park in 2000the area is characterized by having marine ecosystems of great importance such as sandy bottoms, coral reefsamong others.

With a total area of ​​44 hectares, 854 visitors are allowed to visit the natural area simultaneously.
