An accident in the jurisdiction of Pamplona keeps the road section that connects Bucaramanga with Cúcuta closed. A truck overturned for reasons yet to be established. Passersby took the opportunity to carry the load.
According to the preliminary information provided by the Norte de Santander Police, the accident involving a truck loaded with beer occurred at 1:30 pm, this Wednesday, June 12, at kilometer 92 of the road that connects to Bucaramanga. with Pamplona.
The damaged cargo vehicle has plates LKL-809 that suffered a lateral rollover, to the left side.
Witnesses have indicated that the driver was rescued alive, after breaking the panoramic glass and taken to the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pamplona, Norte de Santander.
“It is a piece of the road there in the sector known as ‘La Pava’ that registers a geological fault and is in terrible condition. Vehicles get into accidents in that sector, yesterday there was also another accident,” said Luis Felipe Lizcano, a resident of the area.

While the driver is under medical observation in Pamplona, videos recorded passers-by and residents of the sector who took the opportunity to take the beer baskets that were left in the truck and scattered on the road.
In the images, several people can be seen running with baskets of the popular drink in their hands and on their shoulders to take them to their homes.
“They took everything before the police arrived. Well done badly, but whenever these accidents occur the saying is that the truck is insured,” said a witness driver.
The Norte de Santander Traffic Police are already on site to remove the truck and recover mobility on this stretch of road that connects Bucaramanga with Pamplona.
