In dialogue with the media present at the site, the Governor indicated that this work had an investment of close to 250 million pesos and emphasized that it includes a preservation of the place for Aguas Riojanas and, in this way, guarantee the operation of the sewers There are 22 blocks of paving, throughout the neighborhood.

“It is a joint work that we do with the municipality so that we can put La Rioja in the conditions that our people deserve,” highlighted the president.

In this regard, he explained that “we do not have national funds, and what we do is a budget forecast for the province and municipalities to distribute in the most equitable way possible the resources that are very scarce for this type of works.”

For his part, the owner of Rioja Vial, Orlando Torcivía, reported that “it is a work of 1,800 linear meters, and it is 16 or 17 blocks. The execution percentage is 60 percent in the work that began last year, and there was an impasse, but now we were able to start working again with Aguas Riojanas, because the issue of connections and sewers in the paved area is fundamental. ”.

He maintained that it is a neighborhood that “was abandoned for many years, the condition was quite critical, and that is why Aguas Riojanas also had to make interventions, because it is a work for many more years.”

The work has an estimated period of two more months for completion.
