La Rioja organized a solidarity festival to help people with disabilities: all the details

The provincial government of La Rioja promoted a solidarity event in support of people with disabilities, in collaboration with the Argentine Association of Parents of Autistics (APAdeA), the General Directorate of the Disability Council and the Directorate of Critical Assistance. This initiative, held on Friday morning in Plaza 9 de Juliomarked the II edition of the Solidarity Festival.

The main objective of the event was collecting donations aimed at improving the quality of life of people with disabilities. Among the items received were wheelchairs, walkers, tripods, medications and warm clothingwhich will be distributed among associations and direct beneficiaries.

The day was not only focused on solidarity in relation to donations of different items, but also offered entertainment activities such as raffles, artistic presentations and various shows, aimed at creating an environment of support and inclusive celebration.

From the Ministry of Development, Equality and Social Integration of the province They highlighted the commitment of the Provincial Government to inclusion policies for people with disabilities. Along these lines, they stressed the importance of generating tools that promote equal opportunities and comprehensive development, contrasting with what he described as the indifference of the National Government towards this sector.

On the other hand, the Council for People with Disabilities praised the collaboration with APAdeA and highlighted the Council’s continued role in strengthening civil associations. In this sense, They expressed their satisfaction with holding the event, especially in a context where people with disabilities and their families face significant vulnerabilities.

The health policies of La Rioja

During the day on Thursday, in the “Coty Agost” Hall of the Castro Barros Cultural Walk, A cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministries of Health and the Ministry of Security, Justice and Human Rights of La Riojato regulate a comprehensive prevention system for sudden death events in public and private spaces with public access, with the aim of reducing sudden morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular origin.

The event was led by the Ministers of Public Health, Juan Carlos Vergaraand Security, Justice and Human Rights, Miguel Ángel Zarate. It should be noted that through the Program “Cardioprotected Rioja” aims to guarantee public access to cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation; reduce sudden morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular origin and achieve the highest level in the population in terms of education and awareness of first aid management that tend to avoid sudden death.

The Ministry of Health highlighted the need to generate these agreements to train personnel, generate social awareness and teamwork to save lives: “We want to comply with provincial law No. 10,598 and, to do so, the greatest number of people from the different institutions of the State and the community must be trained in an important topic for public health such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, to avoid cases of sudden death.
